Lola McBee, ahnen #2

I have begun my mother's research report, but there are so many living people in it, I will not be linking it to anyone outside the family for now. While my father was close to the grandchildren, he was not as close as she was, so their birth details are in her report.  For instance, when one granddaughter was gravely ill in Frankfurt, Germany, my mother applied for a passport and flew to Germany to visit all by herself. She was confused and terrified and did it anyway. I don't think my dad even considered traveling with her. Mom faced so many obstacles all through her life, and as such, she is my hero and inspiration.  I wrote about her here:  Wonderful Women: Grandma Lolas and on her Wikitree profile .

52 Ancestor Reports in 2025

2025 Project This year, rather than a "re-do," my plan is to follow Elizabeth Shown Mills and Yvette Hoitink's advice to create research reports for each person investigated, while also inspired by Amy Johnson Crow's 52 Ancestors challenge  in my own remix: Starting with my parents, in  ahnentafal order write about my direct ancestors , beginning with my daddy, Ted Cowan. The list below will be an index by the end of 2025, when the posts are linked to the list.  Click name to read or comment on post or report .   My Ancestors in A hnentafal Order Valorie Cowan Ted Cowan   Lola McBee Tom Cowan Elsie Schell Harvey McBee Anna Baysinger Walter Scott Cowan Annie McPherson Charles Käll/Schell Selma Andersdotter Samuel McBee Nancy Jane Booth John Alfred Baysinger Minnie Disney Walter Scott Cowan Margaret McPhail Alexander McPherson Jane McPherson Carl Axel Frans Jonsson Käll Maria Svensdotter Anders Gustaf Andersson Ulrika Christina Danielsdotter William McBee Louisa S...
